2008-2009: Electronic Arts:  SPIELBERG’S “BOOM BLOX: BASH PARTY”

 

Production Designer:  Art Directed and designed all of the pre-production for

            the game environments and characters. Presented all pre-production Art

            Direction to Steven Spielberg through duration of project.  Art Directed

            Marketing promotional images.

Cinematics Director:  Directed/created/wrote all of the illustrated cinematics

           for the game.

 

2007-2008: Electronic Arts:  STEVEN SPIELBERG’S “BOOM BLOX”

             (VGA-Best Wii game of the year 2008) 

          

Art Director: Established the: visual style, tone, set layouts, set 

             themes, character designs, block designs, visual effects, UI, etc.

             Writer:  Co-Wrote the fiction for the game

             Director of Animation: for all the characters and visual effects in the

             game.

             Director of Cinematics: Created/directed storyboards, background

             design, final art, character key poses, final camera animation, audio.

 

2005-2007: Electronic Arts: MEDAL OF HONOR: AIRBORNE

 

 Production Designer/Producer (pre-production):      

              Directed/developed the visual style and for the entire 

              (PS3/x360) game:  location research, 3D location pre-vis, color

              keys, concept art, character design, game design docs, 2d maps, etc…

              TECH: developed a comprehensive pre-production/production design

              Process pipeline.

                 Writing:  established a comprehensive backstory for every location

                 CREW:  5 Game designers, 6 concept artists, 1 associated DD

              Additional:  Art Directed magazine cover art/internal art.

 

2003-2004     Electronic Arts:  GOLDENEYE: ROGUE AGENT

 

                     Director of Cinematics:  Directed in-house and out-sourced

                     cinematic production (22 artists/animators)

                     Director of Conceptual Art Department: Directed 13 concept artists’

                     designs for: Locations, characters, vehicles, props, story beat

                     illustrations, storyboards, 3D location pre-vis, color keys, magazine

                     cover art generation, etc. (total production staff for project: 175 people)

                    PHILHARMAGIC: Story artist (CGI-3D short film for Disney World)

 

1998-2001       Walt Disney Feature Animation: TREASURE PLANET

 

                 Story Artist (lead).  A film that combined traditional hand drawn animation

                    With CGI characters and sets. *Wrote original outline for, visually developed,

                    and pitched the existing climax of the movie.*

                   2002 academy award nomination

                 Co-wrote/storyboarded over 24 minutes of the film

 

1996-1998     Dreamworks SKG Animation:  SHREK

 

                     Story artist/ visual development. (CG film)

Worked on many sequences including:  “Entering the dragon’s keep”, and the climatic “Kiss in the church” sequence.

*Illustrated the first emotional story (beat) board outline with Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio (Writers)

                 Worked extensively on developing the Prologue, the Magician

                 sequence, and the Exodus sequence. TECH: developed industries first

                 digital storyboard tool.
